Ardentec’s commitment to keeping global warming below 1.5C

On June 4, 2024, “CommonWealth Magazine” announced the list of companies in Taiwan that have committed to achieving net-zero emissions in alignment with the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement. The magazine also organized the “Corporate 1.5°C Forum,” where over a hundred companies gathered to discuss pathways to achieving the 1.5°C carbon reduction goal. Ardentec is honored to be among the Taiwanese companies meeting the 1.5°C target, which is a huge recognition of Ardentec Group's dedicated climate action efforts.

“CommonWealth” established the “Temperature Rising Index for Pathways (TRIPs)” in 2022. It is the only platform in Taiwan that adopts international standards to assess and track the carbon reduction goals of Taiwanese companies. Through ongoing collection of sustainability reports from companies across Taiwan, as well as voluntary submission of publicly available environmental data, the platform has now accumulated disclosures from nearly a thousand businesses. Including Ardentec's report, about 20% are in compliance with the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement, a notable increase from less than a hundred at this time last year, indicating a growing alignment of Taiwan’s businesses with international carbon reduction efforts.

Ardentec has long regarded ESG as a crucial direction for corporate development, with sustainability deeply embedded in Ardentec’s DNA. The company implements various energy-saving and carbon-reduction projects, autonomously integrates carbon and greenhouse gas inventory and management systems and optimizes clean energy through solar panel installations on factory rooftops. To contributing to a sustainable future, Ardentec actively participates in climate advocacy and officially joined RE100 on June 15, 2023, committing to 100% renewable energy use by 2050. Ardentec's greenhouse gas emission reduction targets include a 10% reduction from the 2020 baseline by 2025, a 20% reduction by 2030, a 60% reduction by 2040, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
