Ardentec Awarded the "1.5°C Climate Control Target Certification” for Three Consecutive Years

Ardentec is proactively confronting climate change risks and demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability through effective climate adaptation and mitigation management. We are honored to have been rated “Excellent” in the Temperature Rising Index for Pathways, TRIPs evaluation initiated by CommonWealth Magazine for three consecutive years, receiving the "1.5°C Climate Control Target Certification".
Certification”. Becoming one of the businesses in Taiwan that meets 1.5 °C target is a significant recognition of Ardentec Group’s dedication to sustainable development. In July 2024, Ardentec signed the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment, taking concrete action to actively respond to the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.

In 2022, CommonWealth Magazine and TungHai University established the “Temperature Rising Index for Pathways, TRIPs,” the only platform in Taiwan that adopts UN IPCC methodology to align corporate temperature trajectories with global warming pathways. Through the Absolute Global Temperature Potential (AGTP), it collects all Taiwanese corporate sustainability reports and simulates five warming scenarios to make linear predictions for corporate temperature ratings. In 2025, a total of 1,200 companies across Taiwan participated in the evaluation, with 405 companies meeting the 1.5 °C target—an inspiring increase compared to 220 companies last year and 92 the year before—showing that more institutions in Taiwan are aligning their carbon reduction efforts with international standards.
Ardentec Group has published Corporate Social Responsibility/Sustainability Reports for 13 years, demonstrating long-standing practice and disclosure of sustainable development. In response to sustainability trends, companies not only carry out various energy-saving and carbon reduction projects, but also utilize their factory advantages by installing solar panels on rooftops to develop clean energy. In 2023, Ardentec led Taiwan’s semiconductor packaging and testing industry by joining the RE100 initiative. This year, it further cooperated with Delta Energy on small hydropower projects, responding to biodiversity and increasing clean energy usage, thereby establishing diversified green electricity procurement. To extend sustainability awareness to employees through communication and interaction, Ardentec held the ESG Award for the first time in 2024, encouraging employees to turn creative ideas into practical sustainable actions, and plans to continue organizing the event this year.

Holding the warming limit below 1.5°C while operating a company requires consideration from many aspects and is not an easy task. From top to bottom, all employees take action not only to maintain the earth’s warming limit but also to continue fulfilling the RE100 commitment, striving to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, planting seeds for sustainable development to grow strong.
