Priv. Screening of “A Chip Odyssey” to Honor Taiwan’s Semiconductor Legacy and Inspire NextGen

From June 20 to June 26, Ardentec hosted nine private screenings of the documentary A Chip Odyssey at Broadway Cinemas in Zhubei, inviting employees, their families, and external guests to join in revisiting the inspiring journey of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry—from humble beginnings to global prominence through perseverance and innovation. A Chip Odyssey – The Century’s Gamble is Taiwan’s first semiconductor documentary. It tells the compelling story of a group of pioneers—“mountain builders”— risked everything to build Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, ultimately transforming the nation into a key player in global technological advancement.
Chairman Chih-Yuan Lu explained that the motivation behind organizing the screenings was to help more people, especially younger generations and those unfamiliar with this chapter of history, understand the extraordinary efforts made when Taiwan’s future was uncertain and full of challenges. “At a time when success seemed impossible, these individuals—across three generations—carried the national flag and pushed forward with the spirit of ‘moving mountains.’ Their perseverance and faith allowed them to wait for the right time, environment, and support, eventually uniting all forces to create Taiwan’s ‘guardian mountains.’ This journey of relentless effort and divine grace continues to inspire us to move forward,” said Lu.
By sharing the story of A Chip Odyssey, the company hopes to deepen employees’ and the public’s understanding of the industry’s roots and mission, encouraging greater appreciation for the industry’s contributions and inspire greater engagement and recognition of the dedication behind today’s achievements. |
