New Circular Economy Proposal : Ardentec Partners with PackAge+ to Advance Reusable Packaging
Ardentec places a high priority on sustainable development and has partnered for the first time with circular packaging provider PackAge+ to introduce reusable boxes, achieving circular reuse of raw material packaging. This collaboration enhances the value of PackAge+'s existing circular economy services by showcasing innovative applications. The new, upgraded, and reinforced reusable boxes embody the circular economy in practice while delivering carbon reduction benefits, with an estimated annual decrease of 151.32 kg in CO₂ equivalent emissions.
Starting in September 2024, Ardentec has adopted PackAge+’s reusable boxes, replacing single-use cardboard boxes for desiccant packaging with durable, reusable alternatives. These boxes are made from recycled plastic and follow a complete recycling process—from material sourcing, design, and manufacturing to logistics, collection, and cleaning—yielding an annual carbon reduction of 151.32 kg in CO₂ equivalent. Post-use cleaning and sorting of the boxes is managed in collaboration with social welfare organizations, creating employment opportunities for underprivileged groups and amplifying social impact.
Unlike other companies that use reusable boxes to transport cleanroom supplies such as masks and gloves, this project expands the scope by involving Ardentec’s supplier, Tai Chiang Chemical, in the research and development process. Ardentec worked closely with PackAge+ to customize the box design and specifications, creating a new, thicker, and more durable box that can be reused at least 50 times. After more than two months of rigorous testing on load capacity and logistics processes, the upgraded reusable box was successfully developed, enhancing the overall application value in the circular economy.
Through reusing raw material packaging and supporting social welfare organizations, Ardentec will continue to promote the circular economy and foster corporate social responsibility. The company actively explores future possibilities, believing that moving beyond a linear economy and achieving resource regeneration will establish a new model of circular economy.
