Ardentec Achieves SBTi Near-Term Validation to Accelerate Value Chain Progress Toward Net-Zero

 

Ardentec, a global leader in semiconductor testing services, officially announced that its near-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets were validated by the SBTi in April 2026. This validation ensures that Ardentec’s decarbonization pathway is aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, demonstrating the company's commitment to science-based governance and a resilient semiconductor supply chain.

In an era of surging demand for AI chips, Ardentec recognizes its pivotal role in the transition to a low-carbon economy. While fulfilling climate commitments amidst rapid industrial growth is a formidable challenge, Ardentec views it as an unavoidable corporate responsibility. Using 2023 as the base year, the company has established a systematic framework of science-based targets now officially approved by the SBTi:

  • Operational Decarbonization: To reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 63% by 2035, relative to the base year.
  • Value Chain Mitigation: To reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, as well as fuel- and energy-related activities, by 37.5% by 2035.
  • Supply Chain Engagement: To ensure that 54% of its suppliers by emissions covering capital goods will have science-based targets in place by 2030.

Ardentec has built an execution engine ranging from low-carbon initiatives to internal carbon pricing mechanisms. Following its formal commitment to the RE100 global renewable energy initiative in 2023, the company has leveraged carbon management systems for precision control. In 2025, Ardentec successfully implemented 73 energy-saving projects, transforming green governance into a core pillar of corporate resilience.
Securing SBTi validation for its near-term targets, alongside its prestigious CDP Climate Change 'A List' status, reinforces Ardentec's leadership in transparency and scientific credibility within the semiconductor industry.
