Advancing RE100 and SBTi Commitments Through Renewable Energy Expansion

 

Ardentec continues to advance its energy transition and climate governance efforts by strengthening its long-term renewable electricity strategy. This year, the Company signed renewable electricity procurement agreements with private renewable energy providers covering the next decade, securing more than 1 billion kWh of renewable electricity. Through diversified sourcing and long-term procurement planning, Ardentec aims to increase the share of renewable electricity in its operations, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and support its net-zero ambition.
In 2023, Ardentec joined RE100, committing to achieve 100% renewable electricity use by 2050. In 2026, the Company's near-term emissions reduction targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), demonstrating its commitment to science-based emissions reduction, climate governance, and decarbonization.
Since 2021, Ardentec has progressively expanded its renewable electricity procurement activities. This initiative supports growing electricity demand driven by AI, high-performance computing (HPC), high-speed data transmission, optical interconnect technologies, and automotive electronics, while further strengthening the foundation of the Company's energy transition. By increasing renewable electricity adoption, Ardentec continues to advance its RE100 commitment, support its SBTi-aligned targets, and enhance its operational resilience and climate risk management capabilities.
