Ardentec signed SBTi commitment to align with international carbon reduction targets
After joining the Global Renewable Energy Initiative (RE100) in 2023, Ardentec signed the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) commitment in July 2024. Ardentec is proactively responding to the objectives outlined by the “Paris Accords” of limiting global warming to 1.5°C with concrete actions. SBTi is led by Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), United Nations Global Compact(UNGC), World Resources Institute (WRI)and the World Resources Institute(WRI). It is proposed to help enterprises to set science-based targets in line with the latest climate science and actively control the global warming must not exceed 1.5°C above pre-industrial temperatures to avoid the catastrophic impacts of climate change.
As the global supply chain focuses more and more on carbon reduction, through SBTi's carbon reduction framework, Ardentec expects to set short-term and long-term carbon reduction goals to ensure that its carbon reduction pathway is in line with the concepts of climate science of, thereby demonstrating Ardentec’s determination to reduce carbon emissions.
