Vice Chairman and President Chi-Ming Chang Honored with the "Chao Yao-Tung Commemorative Medal"

On November 30, Chi-Ming Chang, Vice Chairman and President of Ardentec Corporation, was awarded the "Chao Yao-Tung Commemorative Medal" by the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers (CIIE). This prestigious honor recognizes his expertise in engineering and quality management, as well as his outstanding contributions to corporate governance and environmental sustainability.

In 1990, Chi-Ming Chang was invited to return to Taiwan from the United States to join the national "Submicron Process Technology Development Project." As the project leader for the manufacturing engineering division and deputy head of the semiconductor manufacturing engineering team, he led the group to successfully validate the functional integration of facilities, equipment, and process technologies for Taiwan's first 8-inch wafer fab. Under the exceptional leadership of the project’s general director, Dr. C. Y. Lu, this initiative propelled Taiwan's semiconductor process technology from lagging behind to becoming a global leader. Senior statesman Kwoh-Ting Li once remarked that this project marked Taiwan's advancement from being a follower to becoming a pioneer in the semiconductor industry. In 1999, Chi-Ming Chang co-founded Ardentec Corporation with Dr. Lu and others, establishing a robust quality and engineering system that has earned the trust of multiple global industry leaders.

Chi-Ming Chang has a keen understanding of the semiconductor industry and international trends. He has proactively driven global expansion, establishing several overseas operational facilities in Singapore, South Korea, and China since 2006. These efforts strategically positioned the company ahead of today’s challenging geopolitical environment. By actively promoting Industry 4.0, he enhanced productivity, minimized human errors, and improved both testing efficiency and accuracy, solidifying Ardentec Corporation’s indispensable role in the semiconductor supply chain. In addition to pursuing operational growth, Chi-Ming Chang has dedicated himself to corporate governance and promoting ESG development. Ardentec Corporation has been recognized in the top 5% of the Corporate Governance Evaluation for OTC-listed companies for seven consecutive years and became the first semiconductor testing company in Taiwan to join RE100, pledging to combat climate change alongside leading global enterprises.

Under Chang’s exceptional leadership and Ardentec Corporation’s commitment to quality, the company has repeatedly received top honors from major clients in Europe, the U.S., and Japan, including annual supplier awards, best testing partner gold awards, and strategic partner awards for outsourced semiconductor assembly and test. These accolades have firmly established Ardentec Corporation as a leader in the global IC testing industry.

In his acceptance speech, Chang stated, "receiving the Chao Yao-Tung Commemorative Medal is not only a recognition of my 34-year career in advancing innovation within the semiconductor industry but also a testament to the collective efforts of all Ardentec Corporation employees."

The Chao Yao-Tung Commemorative Medal is one of the highest honors in the field of industrial engineering in Taiwan. Ardentec Corporation will use this recognition as motivation to continue pursuing innovation and excellence, providing superior products and services to its clients while creating greater value for its shareholders.
