Ardentec ( Longevity site ), located in the Taoyuan Longtan Science Park, stands as a new sustainable landmark that integrates high-tech manufacturing with green building principles. The facility spans nine floors above ground, with a total floor area of nearly 50,000 square meters, serving as a state-of-the-art semiconductor testing plant.
From the early design stage, sustainability was embedded into the planning process to balance production capacity and environmental responsibility. The project was initially designed in accordance with the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Silver standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). With the strong support of top executives, the company elevated the design target to LEED Gold certification, which was officially awarded on August 19, 2025—a testament to Ardentec’s commitment to meeting international standards of sustainable development.
Highlights of the Sustainable Design and Planning 1. Energy Efficiency The building envelope and glass façades were designed with high-performance materials to reduce thermal load and carbon emissions. The utility system adopts a 6°C large temperature difference design for chilled water, reducing water flow and pump power consumption. In addition, an intelligent lighting control system with time scheduling and zonal control minimizes unnecessary energy use.
2. Renewable Energy Use Solar panels installed on the rooftop are integrated into the internal power system to supply part of the facility’s energy needs. An intelligent energy management platform further enhances electricity efficiency and strengthens real-time monitoring.

3. Water Resource Management A rainwater harvesting system provides water for toilet flushing and landscape irrigation. The plant also employs water-saving fixtures—including gold-label certified low-flow toilets throughout the facility—significantly reducing water consumption and reinforcing resource sustainability. 4. Indoor Environmental Quality Low-VOC (volatile organic compound) materials and interior greenery were used to improve air quality. CO₂ detectors are installed to maintain a healthy and comfortable indoor environment for employees. ⸻ The Longevity site is Ardentec’s first facility worldwide to earn LEED Gold certification from the USGBC—marking a significant milestone in the company’s sustainable operations strategy. Beyond fulfilling the semiconductor industry’s demanding standards for high-spec facilities, this achievement symbolizes Ardentec’s steadfast commitment to ESG principles, industrial innovation, and environmental stewardship. It represents not only a step forward in Ardentec’s corporate sustainability journey but also a demonstration of the company’s dedication to mitigating climate change and contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for the planet.
